Diamond dust falls
Adorning the boughs of gray trees afar
Sparrows are
Scratching the jeweled powder
Seeking the seed of life

Quiet quilt lights
Upon the blue branches of evergreen
Cardinal is seen
Red bird resting on a soft
Needle bed within

Windblown wisp flies
Frosting the water’s edge of icy creek
Blue jay seeks
A branch of warm shelter
Before the moon arrives

Bible verse for the morning:
"Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?" Matthew 6:26
